In 2007-2008 he supervised the regional research projects «Troubled Teenagers in Krasnodar Region» and «Youth of Kuban 2008», the results of which formed the basis for the programme of spiritual and moral education of Kuban youth implemented by the Administration of Krasnodar Region.
Since 2008, after receiving special training, he has been included in the National Register of Experts for Quality Assessment in Vocational Education and Training under the Federal Service for Supervision of Vocational Education and Training (Rosobrnadzor).
In March 2009 he was elected an active member of the Russian Academy of Social Sciences and Executive Director of the Krasnodar Branch of the Russian Academy of Social Sciences. Since June 2009 he has been a senior researcher at the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Since September 2009 — co-director (with A.A. Ostapenko) of the project: «Integrated Pedagogical System of Interaction of Institutions of General, Complementary and Higher Education», implemented on the basis of the Municipal Complementary Educational Institution for Children «Minor Academy».
In 2012-2020 he led research projects on youth deviance, extremism, interethnic relations and juvenile delinquency in Krasnodar region: «Risks of Adolescence in Modern Russia» (2012-2013, the grant from the President of the Russian Federation), «Extremism and Ethno-Social Conflicts among Youth in a Polyethnic Region» (2015-2017, the grant from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research), «A.U.E. and Problems of Adolescent Criminalisation in a Polyethnic Region» (2018-2019, the grant from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research), «Youth in the Polyethnic Region in a Nonlinear Global-Local Society: New Perspectives on Social Tension» (2020, the grant from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research).
Since 2017 — Vice Rector for Academic Work and Quality of Education — First Vice Rector of Kuban State University. Deputy Chairman of the Public Chamber of Krasnodar Region.
The author of over 200 scientific publications on youth deviant behaviour, sociology of education, methodology of socio-humanitarian research.
