Student scientific conference «Orient: a view from the XXI century»

On December 10, Kuban State University at the Faculty of History, Sociology and International Relations held a student scientific conference » Orient: a view from the XXI century». 

The conference brought together students from different faculties, directions and courses in order to compile a system of modern views on the history, culture and diplomacy of the East. 

The conference was organized by Alexandra Petryaeva, a third-year student from the Faculty of History, Sociology and International Relations, Oriental Studies and Africana Studies, with the support of the Department of Foreign Regional Studies and Oriental Studies. 

«I wanted to create a platform where everyone could publish their article, express themselves. From the scientific point of view, the conference covered various aspects of the multifaceted Orient. The feedback from the participants showed me that everything I wanted was perfectly realized,» comments Alexandra Petryaeva.

Guests of honor and representatives of the organizing committee were Acting Head of the Department of Foreign Regional and Oriental Studies Yuri Smertin, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Regional and Oriental Studies Tatiana Tkacheva.
