The Digital Learning Accelerator Demo Day, organised by VR CONCEPT Academy, took place on 16 December in Moscow. Among the winners was Maxim Kucher, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic, Social and Political Geography of the Institute of Geography, Geology, Tourism and Services, Head of the Virtual Reality Technologies in Education and Research Laboratory. He came third with his project «VR Simulator — Geological Museum of the Kuban State University».
The accelerator programme started on 20 October and lasted for 2 months. Its main goal is the effective implementation of VR technologies in the educational process.
A total of 1,026 applications were received for participation in the accelerator, of which 333 participants — teachers and specialists of educational institutions from Russia and CIS countries — were allowed to participate and passed the pre-accelerator programme, 34 participants passed the accelerator stage, and the 20 best VR project ideas reached the final and were presented at the Demo Day.
