The Faculty of Economics at Kuban State University organized a spring marathon of the traditional career guidance event «Student for a Day.» The event was aimed at high school and vocational school students in Krasnodar and the Krasnodar region. The event has already become well-known in the school community, and applications for participation were arriving almost 24 hours a day. This was the first time the event was held not only during school holidays but also during the academic quarter.
More than 150 people took part in the «Student for a Day» event. The program consisted of three «study days» during which university guests could attend lectures by professors from the Faculty of Economics. They also had the opportunity to learn about the admission process to KubSU directly from the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Doctor of Economics, Igor Shevchenko. At the end of each day, volunteers took the students on a sightseeing tour of the university campus.
On March 23, Andrey Kostetsky, the Head of the Department of Marketing and Commerce and a Candidate of Economics, gave the students a lecture titled «Digital Marketing in the Online Environment.» On March 24, Egor Ponomarenko, a Professor at the Department of World Economy and Management, shared his practical experience in a lecture titled «How to Become a Millionaire: Where to Invest Profitably and How to Save Money.» On April 7, students attended a lecture on «Modern Technologies of E-commerce and Internet Marketing» given by Adelia Muratova, an Associate Professor at the Department of Marketing and Commerce and a Candidate of Economics.
«We can see a genuine interest in ‘Student for a Day.’ Some students who wish to participate in the event write to us in advance, even before our official invitations are sent out. This inspires us to continue organizing such events in the future,» said one of the organizers, Andrey Erok, an Associate Professor at the Department of World Economy and a Candidate of Economics.
