Kuban State University at an Educational Exhibition in Kyrgyzstan

From 13 to 15 March Kuban State University took part in the 14th exhibition of Russian educational organisations «Education in Russia-2024» in Kyrgyzstan. Students from schools in Bishkek, Kant (Chui region), Kara-Balta (Chui region) were informed about the possibilities of studying at Russian universities.

The delegation from Kuban State University included Galina Govorova, Head of the International Affairs Department, and Sergey Odintsov, Deputy Head of the Department. At the opening of the exhibition, Albert Zulkharneyev, Head of the Russian House in Bishkek, Olga Frolova, President of the Moscow Classics Foundation, and Robert Fedorov, Attaché for Education and Science at the Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, welcomed the participants and guests. Currently, Russia and Kyrgyzstan continue their cooperation in the field of school and higher education. More than 35 joint Russian-language schools are being built in the regions of Bishkek, Osh, Chui, Osh, Issyk-Kul, Jalal-Abad, Talas, Batken and Naryn. Currently, more than 8,000 students from Kyrgyzstan are studying in Russia under the Russian government’s quota.

During their stay in Bishkek, the Kuban State University delegation also visited schools in the Kyrgyz capital. Opportunities for cooperation were discussed with school principals, and students were informed about the fields and specialities of study at Kuban State University. They also learned about the advantages of choosing Krasnodar and the Krasnodar region for their studies.

During the meeting with colleagues from the Department of Russian Philology of the Bishkek State University named after K. Karasayev, the dates for the implementation of joint scientific and educational activities for the next six months were set.  Students of the Department of Russian Philology of the Bishkek State University were informed about the possibilities of studying at the Kuban State University in the framework of judicial, post-graduate and academic mobility programs.

It should be noted that currently Kuban State University cooperates with 7 universities of the Kyrgyz Republic and is interested in increasing the number of foreign students from Kyrgyzstan.

With Tolobek Abylovich Abdyrakhmanov, Rector of the Zhusup Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University, useful proposals were made on the development of academic contacts within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed in December 2023.
