The final of the XI Eurasian Olympiad in analytical economics and forecasting, held annually by the Belarusian State University (BSU), took place on 18 March. The team of the Faculty of Economics of Kuban State University “Sigmas in Cuba” took the 1st place and became the absolute champion of intellectual competitions. The students had to solve three economic problems on optimisation methods and econometrics, as well as to defend their scientific work done at the extramural round of the Olympiad.
In total, 46 teams from 23 universities of the Eurasian space took part in the Olympiad, 16 of them fought in the finals. The Olympiad traditionally consisted of two rounds – the distance extramural round and the final, which was held in a face-to-face format in the academic building of BSU.
