On September 21, a group of faculty members and students from Kuban State University successfully returned from a two-day hiking expedition in the mountains of Adygea. The goal of the trip was to climb one of the most beautiful peaks of the Western Caucasus – Mount Oshten (2,804 m), where the participants installed a commemorative plaque in honor of KubSU’s 105th anniversary.
This event embodied the university’s tradition of marking significant milestones not only with celebrations, but also by achieving real heights. It symbolizes the institution’s commitment to growth, overcoming challenges, and strengthening the spirit of unity.
The 13-member delegation was led by KubSU’s First Vice-Rector, Professor Temyr Khagurov. He emphasized, “We did not just climb the mountain – we completed this journey together, supporting one another. And now, the plaque on Mount Oshten will serve as a reminder to everyone that the KubSU community is capable of great achievements”.
The participants shared their vivid impressions. Alumnus Sergey Chechurin highlighted the friendly atmosphere and breathtaking scenery, while master’s student Sofya Zheleznyak emphasized the sense of community and support that helped them overcome every challenge. Overall, they agreed that the feeling of collective achievement was worth all the effort. (https://kubsu.ru/ru/node/44583)
