Kuban State University (KubSU), one of the key international educational centers in the South of Russia, has developed a unique program «Cross-cultural adaptation of international students in professional education.» Its goal is the effective integration of future teachers from abroad into the Russian academic environment.
The program includes four areas of adaptation:
• Socio-cultural – lectures, excursions and events on Russian culture and history;
• Psychological – trainings to reduce stress and increase confidence;
• Linguistic – in-depth study of the Russian language with linguistic and cultural immersion;
• Academic – integration into the educational process with Russian-speaking students and participation in international scientific events.
The program has already proved its effectiveness: students show high academic performance, actively participate in international Olympiads and forums, and their motivation and involvement in their studies increase significantly. A comfortable academic environment at KubSU contributes not only to successful adaptation, but also to confidence in choosing a Russian education for a career building.
