The Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training of Specialists has existed at Kuban State University since 1987.

The Institute includes

• more than 120 programs of advanced training and professional retraining in management, pedagogy, psychology, information technologies, finance, law and others;
• These programs meet the needs and requirements for the social and economic development of the region.
• training approximately 3,000 people annually;
• employing modern educational technologies, including distant learning;
• developing specialized programs at the request of institutions and companies such as regional and municipal authorities, law enforcement agencies and various governmental and commercial organizations.

In addition, the university provides leadership in innovative management. The Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training of Specialists was one of the leading training centers for personnel of the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games of 2014 in Sochi.

The Institute, in cooperation with member companies of the Southern Regional Committee of the Association of European Businesses, created the Kuban State University Business School. Practical and hands-on education assists the students in careers and professional development.
