On December 26, a warm and bright New Year’s concert called «Russian New Year» took place at the preparatory department for foreign citizens of Kuban State University. The event became a real celebration of intercultural dialogue, creativity and friendship.
The foreign students of the preparatory department presented to the audience the author’s dramatizations of «Russian fairy tales inside out» – creative, emotional and filled with elements of the participants’ national cultures. A cheerful fantasy, costumes and a minimum of text allowed everyone to express themselves vividly and easily, regardless of their level of language proficiency. The concert continued with soulful songs, incendiary jokes and subtle humor, uniting all those present in an atmosphere of genuine celebration. The organizers and participants expressed confidence that such events not only develop language skills, but also contribute to the creation of a friendly, supportive environment, which is the most important condition for the successful adaptation of international students to a new educational environment.
