KubSU Signed a Cooperation Agreement with a University in the Republic of Cuba

During a visit by a KubSU delegation to the Republic of Cuba, a cooperation agreement was signed with the University of Holguín.

As part of the visit program, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Mikhail Sharafan and Deputy Director of the International Affairs Department Evgeniia Rotai delivered open lectures for students and scientists of the Cuban university, presented KubSU, and held meetings with leading researchers from the university’s scientific centers.

Additionally, staff from the Department of Physics and Information Systems – Professor Stepan Dzhimak and Associate Professor Stanislav Kozin – participated in a series of events from October 20 to November 3 as part of the implementation of a joint scientific project with organizations from the Republic of Cuba.

Kuban State University is implementing a joint research project with the University of Holguín and the Cuban Academy of Sciences. The three-year project received funding of 30,000,000 rubles from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

Following the trip, the University of Holguín extended an invitation to participate in a scientific conference on the topic of the joint project in May 2026.
