KubSU took part in a videoconference between Krasnodar and Qeshm

On the 13th of March a videoconference of representatives of the municipalities of Krasnodar and Qeshm took place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Krasnodar region. Evgeniia Rotai, Deputy Director of the International Affairs Department, representative of Kuban State University, also took part in the conference. The parties presented the economic potential of the cities to each other and discussed possible areas of cooperation. The establishment of contacts between higher education institutions and industrial enterprises, the development of economic ties, as well as joint projects in the field of tourism aroused the mutual interest of the parties.

During the meeting with her Iranian colleagues, Yevgeniia Rotai presented the university as the largest scientific and educational centre in the south of Russia. Currently, 6 Iranian students are studying at KubSU, and there are also plans to conclude a cooperation agreement with the University of Tehran and a possible visit of a delegation to Iran. The Iranian side expressed great interest in cooperation with Kuban State University and the parties agreed to exchange proposals in writing.

The city of Qeshm is located on the island of the same name — the largest in the Strait of Hormuz and the eastern part of the Persian Gulf. Qeshm Island is known for its natural beauty and its Geopark is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The territory of the island is a free economic zone with duty-free trade.
