A Phonetic competition was held by the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology

On April 22, the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology organized a Phonetic competition, in which first-year students showcased their creative acts, demonstrating their skills in English phonetics and stage performance.

The competition is a long-standing tradition of the faculty. This year, the participants captivated the audience with a wide range of performances: students sang songs in English, reenacted scenes from movies, TV series, and TV programs, brought funny phonetic dialogues from textbooks to life, recited poems by great poets, and presented their own original poems.

The jury members included: Vladimir Plaksin, Assistant Professor of the Department of Philosophy, History, and Law at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation (Chairman of the jury), Anastasia Zinkovskaya, Head of the Department of English Philology at KubSU, Vera Loza, Senior Lecturer of the Department of English Philology, and Polina Biryukova, Lecturer of the Department of English Philology.
