The winners of the reading competition among students of Kuban State University and China have been announced

On April 26, a solemn award ceremony was held to honor the winners of the reading competition between students of Kuban State University and Chengdu Institute Sichuan International Studies University.

The winners were awarded in an online ceremony by Alexander Evtushenko, the Dean of the Faculty of History, Sociology, and International Relations at Kuban State University, and Ms. Yan Liu, the Director of the Department of Languages of Central and Eastern European Countries at Chengdu Institute Sichuan International Studies University.

Over 110 students from both cities participated in the reading competition. Kuban State University students preferred poems by Chinese authors such as Li Bai, Du Fu, and Mao Zedong. The students from Dujiangyan enjoyed the poetry of Konstantin Simonov, Anna Akhmatova, and Konstantin Balmont.

The winners among the students from the Faculty of History, Sociology, and International Relations at Kuban State University were Ekaterina Tabatadze and German Kutsepov. Second place was taken by Olesya Prokopovich, Eva Pogudina, and Ekaterina Nikandrova. Third place was shared by Irina Moiseenko, Anastasia Ivanova, Sofia Saakyan, and Mark Atomas.

Kristina Karelina won the award for «The Most Touching Reading.» Kristina Brysina won in the category of «The Most Challenging Poetry.» Inessa Vinogradova was recognized as the best in the category of «Costumed Performance.» Vera Pankova presented the best «Landscape Performance.»

The international project was organized with the support of the foreign relations departments of the cities of Dujiangyan and Krasnodar. The parties intend to continue bilateral exchanges and implement joint projects to strengthen Russian-Chinese friendship at the municipal level.
